These fairly common medium sized bird can be found throughout the Philippines except for Palawan. Their habitat usually consists of open spaces such as parks and gardens. Their diet mostly consists of berries and small fruits, but they occasionally eat insects too. The IUCN lists them as least concern with what appears as an increase in their population trend.
