White Breasted Wood Swallow (Artamus leucorynchus)

These common medium sized birds can be found throughout the Phillipines in a variety of habitats including forests, open fields, and residential areas. They frequently perch on exposed branches, wires, and poles either by themselves or in a tight group. They catch their prey, insects, while in flight. Aggressive towards other birds and even threats, such as humans and birds of prey, if they get too close to their nests. The IUCN lists them as least concern with their population trend currently being stable.
