These small birds that are endemic to the Philippines can be found throughout the country except in Palawan, Marinduque, Bohol, and Basilan. They can be found in a variety of forests and elevations where they can be seen in flocks mingling with other species of small birds like white-eyes and sunbirds. They are very active and vocal in trees while hopping around looking for insects. The IUCN lists them as least concern with their population trend currently being stable.
