A common cage bird, these mynas are characterized by the tuft of feathers on its forehead which resembles a crest. They can be found inhabiting urban to rural areas. Their omnivorous diet consists of food such as fruits and insects. The IUCN lists them as least concern with their population trend currently being stable.
