These medium-sized orioles are well known for their black and yellow plumage as well as their loud, nasally whistle. They are found throughout the Philippines in habitats such as gardens and forests. Their diet consists of small berries and insects. The IUCN lists them as least concern however there appears to be decrease in the population trend.
