These medium sized thrushes are endemic to the Philippines and can only be found in Luzon and Mindoro. They inhabit lowland forests where they can be seen hopping around the ground foraging for worms. The IUCN lists them as vulnerable due to the rapid reduction of their lowland forest habitat.
